Battle City is a multi-directional shooter video game produced and published on 1985.The player must destroy all the enemies 20 tanks to complete the level.It can be played by one or two players,player 1 is yellow tank and player 2 is green tank.Your main objective is to defend your base and destroy all the enemies tanks. It's also possible for friendly fire so be careful not to shoot each other and your own base, because once it was destroyed the game will be over.

There are several power ups to help you complete the level :
Tank : symbol that gives extra life to a player
Star : It improves players tank (when you get the third star you can finally destroy steel walls)
Bomb : Destroy all visible enemy tanks
Clock : Freeze enemy's tank but only in limited time
Shovel : It repairs the damage in your base wall and become steel in a period of time
Shield : makes your tank invulnerable to attack for a period of time
This is also the first NES game that allows player to edit and customize the levels, it's called (Construction).
